10 Headwear Trends You Need to Know About this Spring Racing Season

Posted by

Each Spring racing season we eagerly anticipate the key headwear trends for the race track, and with over 30 top millinery brands in our store we get a handy sneak peek at the trends designers are setting before anyone else.

So here's our guide to what every fashion lover needs to know about headwear this season to create your winning outfit trackside.

1. Turbans & Headwraps

The big trend of the season is definitely the turban or headwrap, don't be seen trackside without one. It's an easy and flattering way to add a bit of style to your outfit. Go for a full turban and jumpsuit for an elegant twist, or try a bright turban headband to inject some fun.

Louise Macdonald has the turban elegance mastered and Benoit Missolin knows exactly how to turn up the fun with his playful turban headbands. Shop the turban trend here.

Crowns have been a racetrack staple for the past few seasons, but the trend has been recently invigorated on the catwalks of Dolce & Gabbana and shows no sign of slowing down yet. Why not mix it up and go rose gold with this beautiful lemon leaf crown by Lelet NY.

Lelet NY and Stephanie Browne have a great range of metal crowns. Shop our entire crown range here

3. Beaded and Embellished Headbands

Angela MenzAllport Millinery and Alicia Dash x Lady of Leisure have all the beads you need!

4. Boater Hats

Ever since Karl Lagerfeld sent his models down the catwalk in boater hats at Chanel a few season's ago the trend has been unstoppable. Go shallow or tall crown, short or wide brim, all options are in the game. This elegant Derby Day classic by Allport Millinery is the perfect way to wear the trend.  Shop all our boater hats here
